Title: KI HELP!! (audio)
Post by: teknomedic on September 10, 2015, 07:44:48 PM
I'm hoping someone managed to download one my sets that included the KI Game Boy rips??

I'm not sure how it happened, but I managed to delete (or someone else did) my game boy files.  I'm trying various recovery options, but so far it's as if the files never existed and the only thing keeping me from thinking I'm insane is that I still have my "Game Boy ReadMe" file and the folder the FLACs were in... only it's empty. lol.

I can re-rip, that's the easy part, but it took me several hours to ID the proper track titles.

Anyway, if you have it (I only need my Game Boy rip) could you upload a copy to mega or where ever so I can download it again and save myself a bunch of extra re-work.  Thanks so much. :)

reply here or PM. :)

...for some reason I'm missing those too. I know I download the SNES and GB, or I thought I did. Very weird. Hopefully someone else has those so I can grab them too.

appreciated.  8)  I feel dumb, heh. lol.  :-\  I can't even fathom how I did it, but I was working on the last update before the torrent for like 14 hours so I think in my haste I simply deleted them without realizing and continued to rip and encode and likely overwrote the HDD sectors where they were.  :o hmph.

arg, lol... it's like the universe said... Gameboy FLACs?  Denied. lol

I'm doing one last scan with a new software package to see if I can recover them, and I do know of at least one more person that might have downloaded a more recent upload.  I've reached out, but haven't heard back yet.

No worries... worst case I have to re-rip and relabel them all again.

Its so strange how they're gone on both of our ends haha. I'm usually pretty good about storing these neatly on my NAS and occasionally backing it up online.

same here... it was like a perfect storm... I was basically done and finally ready for the massive update so I cleared out my mega drive to get ready a few days ago, then cleared off many of my old copies of files too.  After that I decided to do one last major rename and update to the KI and KI2 audio so I totally re-ripped (like the forth time, ha) both games and re-encoded.  I'm guessing it around then I must have deleted the gameboy flacs directory.  My only thought is that I deleted them thinking they were old files from the arcade.

Impressive to do since they were all clearly labeled "game boy" ha.

That's great news... if you're able, please upload just the GameBoy set to mega.nz or another place and PM the link, much appreciated. :)

If you haven't uploaded you can disregard, I was finally able to recover most of the files so at least I don't have to start over... but I'm still going to re-rip and encode to be certain the files are good.

If you have uploaded, I'll still download because I could still use the older versions, but certainly not required. :)

It's no longer needed... I spent some time re-doing things... no worries. :)
