I heard of this place Arcades4home.com and they have a store in Lockhart, TX (which is known for famous BBQ). This arcade is located in their little town square, you pay a flat fee of $6.99 and you play everything for free. A lot of the games are in poor/fair shape but they are mostly great 90's classics. I found the KI2 in a KI cabinet, its for sale ($700 i think). Its a shame, if it was KI i'd seriously consider picking it up. They had one of my favorites, Hydro Thunder. I would swear some of the games in there were bought from the massive Mr. Gattis I worked at in high school, I even found the exact carpet from the place used to cover a rough part of wood on a game. The Hydro Thunders themselves had very similar issues as if they bought the pair. Some of the other games from the Gattis I worked at just a year ago might have been there. They recently sold several to make room for newer ones, many looked to be the same ones. If you're in the area its worth stopping by, I know it will be unlikely anyone here would be near it by chance it's sort of in the middle of nowhere.
It's sad seeing games you really love in bad shape, I'm sure its getting harder to find parts for games that weren't huge or a cult classic. The poor Hydro Thunder's were working well, but the throttle was loose and the monitors were going bad. I did manage to grab the #1 time on a track.
