Is anyone else havin this problem??
I'm using MAME32 0.90u1.  KI 2 runs fine but KI 1 has blacked out characters???

I'm Stumped?!?!?


Intel CORE2 4400 2GHz
2Gb RAM

Use one of the newer versions of MAME 32 Plus! - they work the best. Otherwise, it could be a certain setting in your MAME configuration, or even your video card.

I've been looking for the latest version of MAME32 Plus!  I can't find a working download??  The one I have won't run either KI or KI2, it says the file checksums are wrong??

I have to use MAME32 0.90u1 to run KI2 and U64EMU Platinum Edition 3.11 to run KI !!!

I give up with MAME  Undecided .  It's now flat-out refusing to run KI 1 (have tried 6 different versions of MAME), so I'm using U64EMU 3.05 for both and they run fine (barring a fatality glitch or 2).

I'd still like to sort MAME out though, If anyone has any ideas?!?

I have no problems with MAME. I run windows 32bit XP sp3.

Old versions, such as 0.111 and 0.119 run just fine for me.   http://mamedev.org/oldrel.html

MAME32 / MAMEUI  some versions work fine, MAME32v103 is another that works perfectly.   http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=mame32v103

HKailleraV14 or HK2V9 are mame32 combined with a netcode for online play, these also work fine.

That's bad ass looking, lol.  It's like Noob Saibot invaded KI, lol.  Could be your .chd file is corrupted.  Did you try re-downloading everything from scratch?  The .chd, the .rom file, the newest version of MAME, etc?

The problem you have with black characters is because of your 3D card settings believe me.

I know that problem  Wink

Its totally not your .chd files or something that is corrupted

I sent him new files and it fixed the problem whenever it was. Your black sticks in your cab are a real distraction, you should get some blue ones.
