First time playing KI in about 10 years and played tonight LOL.  Oldschool is good beat me 9-3 and then 9-1 or something can't recall.  It's a trip seeing people still paly this game that have talent.  Now for some background info.

I was Lord GameGod on X-BAND.  Like Scott (Saber) says we both live in AZ and are good friends.  I read a post he made about 3 years ago pertaining to X-Band players and their talent and I really don't agree with him.  We had an AMAZING local scene in Arizona.  Most of the glitches you guys use today were invented by "Dark Legend".  He was a mediocre player but damn the guy found new glitches every week.  He never got a lot of credit because he wasn't a cocky guy like so many on X-Band but here's to him wherever he is.

I played X-band back in 1994-1995 and was definately addicted to KI.  My final record on X-BAND was 4919 Wins and 42 Losses is forever ingrained in my brain.  A lot of these wins are because saber and I used to "plug pull" which gave you wins and didn't give you a loss.  It was definately cheating and caused a lot of drama on the network but unfortunately many people did it.

Here are the names that I remember:

Imagn, Mr. Wizard, Token, Heatseaker, Virus, Destroyer, Mr. ?, Gauge, DET, AlCoholic X, Killjoy, Flipside, Cyber Crip, Rancid

All the players above were pretty good.  As for me, I may comment once or twice again but I won't be rejoining the KI scene.  That part of me is long passed.

Take care everyone and keep kicking butt.

I remember you bro. You were the ONLY person on Xband that gave Mr. ? trouble in KI if I remember right.

Yeah man we linked up and played 2 matches at one point were you there?  First match I beat him 3-0 and then the second one he beat me 3-2.  I talked to a couple people on the phone after that.  He was a really cool guy!

I was just out doing some random X-band searching and I found this post.

First off I was known as -BoB- of (U*D) back in the old x-band days and I was local to SaBrE (in fact he lives with me now), Dark Legend (we went to high school together and still talk) and I knew LGG through SaBrE.

I would never say that I was among the best on Xband but I played alot and I was respected by many.

First thing you need to know about LGG is that he NEVER had Nation Wide and only played local. Second is that the only reason he was on the national rankings was because him and Dark Legend would swap wins all fucking day just to see them on the rankings. In LGG's defense he was really fucking good and so was Dark Legend.

SaBrE and I never swapped wins with anyone and I had the credit card bills to prove it. One month I was injured at work and was getting paid on workers comp and I racked up over $400 in nation wide charges. It was during that time that I played and beat ViRuS(U*D) to gain entrance into that group.

I have played Street Fighter competitively ever since xband went down but I still miss that little blue box. Hell I still have mine and my Keyboard and my xband some where.

LGG was right about one thing though. AZ changed the way the game was played back then. I was the one that first figured out the Glacius Fireball Ender glitch and took it nation wide.

I'm crossing my fingers for a KI1 to hit Xbox Live.

wow didn't know cigarbob had anything to do with ki but that made sense seein as how he was local to sabre. And hell yeah ki needs to hit xbl. Till then ssf4 is too fun. Lol btw I beat sabre cody yesterday in ranked match and sent him a message saying that I was monki from ki and never got a response back  Cheesy
